i dunwannablog

I've decided to not blog..

because think my english is appalling- "causes dismay or horror".

Indeed, apalling is a very apt word.

Therefore i will spare myself further embarrassment.

Moreover, as you have realised- my blog isnt working very well. From time to time the tagboard appears and disappears. My posts are neverending, and i am too indolent to decipher html.. so not only do i not want to blog, i dont want to blog here at diaryland.

I'll shop for a good place to blog..

till then..

life thus far

My aim for this year- a real big contradiction to what my posts have been- is to love more.[oh stop laughing].. More in the sense of being nicer, judge lesser, be more selfless and put others before self.

Yes, resolutions are supposed to be quite noble. Well, not too late to be reminded.

I thought this song is nice..

Joan Osbourne is truly talented.Yeah..Yeah.. God is great. Yeah.. Yeah.. God is good

I cant help being sarcastic

And you'd think you'd meet smarter people in JC..

There are soo many instances of actions done by people i;ve come into contact with that have left me feeling really puzzled.

For example, there is someone blatantly going around publicly with his fingers in his nose as if he is invisible. Then there are people who think the meaning synonymous with 'borrow' is 'take forever'... there are many more incidences that are, lets be polite and say they're too queer to mention.

Well, i dont blame them.. JC life is SO STRESSFUL for students to be concerned with social norms and propriety.

Actually, i find it amusing. Dont you think so? Its comic to see Eighteen-year-olds behaving in bizarre manners.I mean, i think i am not the only one who thinks that after eighteen years on earth, one would actually act differenly as when they were 5 right? Funny how the word or action actually gets processed from thought to the hands and mouths.

I shall be further entertained..

i dont like s'pore schs

I THINK SINGAPORE'S EDUCATION SYSTEM SUCKS.

Look at the arena. Who won? An international school. It was so clear. It wasnt even close. They trashed all the govt schools they met. I've always supported UWC ever since i've met them at secondary school.. had friendlies over at their school- which was sprawling and beautiful and oh-so-my- dream school..

So i think the singapore government should wake up from their slumber and stop finding comfort in the drone of praises. AN INTERNATIONALS SCHOOL BEAT ALL YOUR LOCAL STUDENTS! It goes to show that Singapore schools prepare students who are incompetent in the areas of speaking and thinking on one's feet. WHY? beacuse they make all the students shut up so that teachers can talk... and disseminate information so that students can regurgitate in the exam. Thats why we do so well in exams. Anything that concerns exam we thrive. In speaking? NOT at all.

We do have debates but how do you expect students to be fluent and well versed when they spent most of their time listening? It is important to listen but learning to speak is takes more practice and is more useful because at the end of the day, it is what you say that really counts. Nobody will care about your listening skills if you can speak, while everyone will know you cant speak even if you can listen well.

We need to change the way schools are conducting their lessons. Maybe they can start learning from world class institutions, like UWC.

lost it, very very sadly

"I have tried, but I cannot do the deed.

With all the technology in the world (including the adhesive, non-lickable postage stamp) you’d think someone up there at the highest eschelon of inventors would come up with a way to NOT have to swallow a horse pill with a huge glass of water. (Picture me with my arms outstretched to the ceiling, face contorted in pain:) “There has got to be a better way!!” "

URGH i lost it.

I have lost the ability to swallow. just like that! i didnt see it coming. AND IT SUCKS!!!! because then i end up sucking the pill, drowning it with water while waiting for it to 'melt' and at the same time trying to ignore its disgusting taste. YUCK. And it gets worse with one pill i got. It is the most disgusting taste i have ever tasted. I tried to force it down my throat with lots of water. I ended up choking, coughing and at the brink of vomitting. Then the pill breaks up even more, the *burst* out comes an explosion of yucky substance. I drank as much as i can.. and had to let the rest out. OMG.

And yes, why hasnt someone invented SOMETHING? We are ' so advanced', yet pill eating is still so primitive.

The weird tasting pill has its traces still left at the back of my throat. I so do not look forward to tmr when i have to eat it again.

WHY MUST I COMPLETE THE COURSE!!!!

THE HIGHLIGHT of my holiday

I hate to be 'poked'. OH yeah and i got poked a lot. Needles i mean. First to draw blood and second for the drip. I was freaking out. SERIOUSLy. Needles are the worst thing on earth.

There is nothing wrong with me. but if you were to press on maybe i'd tell you.

And, i think i got the worst mom on earth! note: im not some ungrateful angsty seventeen year old. I really dislike my mom. WHY? (of cos i would hate someone on reasonable grounds)

1. i said i wanted to see the doctor.
" huh why... [ stick in many stupid questions and only wastes time]"
" WAIT LET ME EAT BREAKFAST FIRST"
after a long time..
" DO YOU WANT TO TAKE BUS OR TAXI?"
OMG... you daughter is in so much discomfort and all you can do is to put your stomach before her pain. AND WHO THE HELL CAN TOLERATE A BUS RIDE IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN?

2. I was waiting for my turn
-she went on making friends with a woman near me, telling her of some unorthodox clinic in malacca. * HUH*
That woman is already seeking treatment in a reputable place in singapore! And she was like.. here this is my number what is yours? I'll call you.. you should ask your daughter to bring you there...
- i was soooooooo embarassed.

3. I had some difficulty walking so i sat on a wheelchair.
- she knocked me into everything knock-able. The chairs, walls.. everything.

4. My mom needed to sign some papers
- she went away earlier and i called her to come back fast cos the papers need to be signed quite urgently.
me: where are you
her: Im at the canteen, eating..
me: you need to sign some papers
her: but im hungry.
- hahaha there she goes again. her stomach is so much more important than her daughter. and do you know how long signing a few paper took? a few seconds.

Anyway, yeah i;ve been hospitalised if it hasnt been clear enough yet.( please dont be like my mom who told the whole world against my wishes. Thats is just a total breech of trust!) WEll, it was good and bad. I'll only speak of THE BEST MOMENT.

That was when i was being woken, semiconcious. I HAD THE BEST SLEEP IN YEARS. Everything was perfect. It was cooling, the lights were fine, i was sooooooooo rested. All i can feel was.. SLEEP, REST. And my mind was so calm and peaceful. I had no worries. It was bliss. i would so love to be in that situation again. i think it was morphine. morphine rocks my sock!!

Okay, i dont have to go to school till friday! have fun =)

sucky sucky week

I fEEL SICK.

I hate this holiday!!!

Im suppose to be alive, healthy and happy so i would have energy to clean up my room and revise And do holiday homework.

NOOO .. I had to suffer from some frigging infected something... sry cant reveal but it sucks!!! IT SUCKS. I dont even know if my antibiotics are working. I CANT FEEL IT. im imagining little robotic micro organisms floating in my bloodstream, hoping that it finds the correct enemy in my body and distroy them.

Oh, but im quite happy that i can swallow those pills. YAY. now i dont have to face 'those looks' the pharmacists give me when i ask for the liquid form of whatever pills they give me. hehehe.

And, i got two weeks of MC. YAY. no mass PE for me. =)

Although i love the benefits.. im SUFFERING. darn. I dont feel alright. All i wanna do is prop myself on my bed and feel better.

MARCH HOLIDAYS SUCK.

"given NTU's shambolic organisational ability, let us say we revolt: Find a team you like, get an adjudicator you like and go to a room and debate. Oh wait, thats the all asians style.. Just a joke, dont leave the room, tab is on his way, as it has been for 3 hours. 5 more minutes." lol...

In a nutshell, NTU sucks. the above was typed onto the screen after they made the adjudicators come at 8, wait for 2 hours to start at 10, lunch at 12 and after 1.. it still hasnt started. The debators were put through the same patience test from 10. NTU CANT ORGANISE EFFICIENTLY.

Well I was satisfied on the whole event because having ranked top80 while my teamates were over 100 made me feel accomplished. You know, i never thought i was better than them. And we won 1 debate! better than nothing. winning feels good. WINNING FEELS GOOD.

It was a good and bad event. Good being that i learnt a lot. I improved A lot. I got inspired to know more about my world. Maybe, it isnt so good to be so ignorant.

Bad because i got some juniors who had the nerve to insult me. Really bad excuse to cover up your fear of stepping up. I thought for someone who is so confident about the debate, telling me how to structure my speech and came up with cases for the motion would have no qualms about actually showing that you can not only talk but perform. Very peeved and disappointed. One tip for juniors: the key to a very sad debating life is to be rude to your senior.

Well after the event i went to check out NUS. I found myself feeling quite acquainted with the campus. Then i remembered i spent a great deal of time around it during the pre-u seminar. yes, they made us run around the campus in one activity - good advertising i must say. Then again, i felt a tinge of boredom. Although NTU sucks they do have a better campus than NUS. Anyway, i dont know what course i wanna do so no concrete plans to go to any uni yet. WEll.. After NUS my dear friend and i just headed to town to enjoy out holiday. and yeah we skipped smu cos it was too late. I guess i'll check it out at their debating tournament sometime later.

I GIVE UP!!!!!

im sitting here thinking..

What chim topics does uni students debate about??
WHAT CHIM TOPICS DOES UNI STUDENTS DEBATE ABOUT!!!!????

I have completely no idea about the world around me. I admit it- im ignorant, benighted, inknowledgeable, unintelligent. Quite contradictory because debators are supposed to be good at General Knowledge. I on the other hand dont give a damn. Seriously. I DONT CARE.

Im not so free as to think about ISSUES plaguing the world today! I just wanna live in my cave.. mind my own business- Like if i cared about the effectiveness of UN the UN will be better. LOL. In contrast if i read about the latest fashion trends it WILL benefit the world because there will be at least one person out there making a difference to the look of the environment- and we all know how OUR ENVIRONMENT has an impact on us.

Therefore, i have decided to rely on all of 'God's given talents' tomorrow. Seriously. Does it really matter? A participation is good enough for my cert. Some progress is a bonus.

STRESSED

IM STRESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know what i got myself into. SERIOUSLY>>> debating against universities??? somebody pleaaaaase shoot me.

I dont know what got into my mind. What on earth was i thinking when i said okay to debating at ntu's debating tournament???? *bites fingers* im friggin TERRIFIED.

oh yes.. it didnt occur to me then that i had to speak THREE rounds of impromptu debates. THREE!!! i would have to endure THREE 2-hr sessions of excessive excitement, nervousness and fright. plus.. three potential disappointments. I forsee being trashed and feeling really low. And This is how i am going to spend my weekend- feeling dejected. PERFECT.

Besides that, i have also burdened myself with quite an amount of work. Why has the volunterring spirit infest in me at this point of time where a lot of useless errands surface?

Then again, what is worse is that i dont have the mood to study. I am starting to dread lectures, tutorials and homework. All i want is BREAK where i can PLAY BRIDGE. Why did i get into a class with a strong culture of 'fun'? We seem to avoid studying like a plague. sigh. i think i would regret my actions when i get my A'level results. I would have wished i sacrificed some bridge sessions.

I think need to check myself into some institution to cure my addiction.

Thank God the holidays are coming.

Well.. what was so funny was that this morning, my dear friend was late with me too. lol. Seriously.. its sucha BIG coincidence.

chingay

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY ROCKS!!!

I volunteered for Chingay. And because my group was The best group of a sector, we joined three others to be in the VIP area. Which means, we usher people in the VIP SECTOR. IT WAS DAMN COOOOOL..

Firstly because our work was very easy. ushering is an easy job. Besides that we also wipe the seats when the rain came, and distributed VIP items on the seats. But, it was also fairly simple.

Secondly, I GOT TO SEE ALL THE VIP PEOPLE!! they were like.. super close to me la! Initially i was seating next to a member of parliament.. i saw all the VVIP ministors.. and the mp for my area was behind me. I saw his parents.. haha.. he looks like his father. And i saw may and choy too. They look damn gorgeous. They actually look better in real life. oh i counted.. Tharman was 9 seats away from me. hahaha.

Thirdly, i get to watch the show from the VIP area. Because another one of our 'duties' was to fill up the empty seats when the show starts so that it looks better. It means.. we get to watch the show IN the vip area, together with the other important people, while others had to squeese and stand behind the baracades away from the performing area. IT WAS AWESOME!!! i was never so close and comfortable watching FIRECRACKERS in singapore. FIREWORKS shot up before me. I could see it with ease in my seat. IT was THE BEST LOCATION TO BE IN.

i feel so privileged!!!

Chingay from the TV is nothing compared to watching it live in the VIP sector. The atmosphere is fantastic and so so so happening.

I really enjoyed myself. OH and when i had to get my IC for police clearance, i walked in the middle of the road from taka to heeren. With all the people behind the baracades looking ar you, and the road completely clear. damn shiok.

i didnt study for 2 days. CA tmr. SO GONNA FAIL. pray for me pleaaase! I need lots of miracles.

2nd day of cny

Okay, the second day was MUCH better..

I visited more of my mother side's realtives and.. father side's more distant relatives. They are so warm!!

The best was.. my dad's aunt in amk. I love this hse because everytime im there they give lots good stuff. This time i got chocolates. The more 'special' kind, because they're cubes and they;re dark chocolate with enough sweetness. Heavenly! Then their drinks were.. alcohlic. haha.. which house serves bicardi breezer to their guests on cny?? And the best thing was that it was educational as well. haha. well, she kept contact with china people, so they sent her this book about the yeo/yang family. It shows the history (generations)and pictures of.. people of the yeo/yang family. I got to see where my grandfather lived in china. you know those ancient looking houses. ( so yeah i sort of 'came' from china) ITS SO COOL!!! im so convinced now that people with the same surname are related. And thats why you should never marry someone with the same surname, cos you come from the same family actually.

okay, Common Tests are LOOMING and i've only been out visiting. im gonna SURELY DIEZ.

CNY

YAY. NEW SKIN. like it!?

YAY CNY. i say this without much conviction. Yes theres my favourites- new clothes, hongbaos and FOOD! But, there are alot of peeves. A LOT.

Although i am not of marriageable age yet, i know the duties of a daughter in law, or at least i have an idea of. I know not to leave my mother in law by herself at home and have reunion dinner with my own mother's family when my husband is working, no matter what happens. WHY DO GUYS MARRY BITCHES? Sorry but if i were a guy, i will not have any interest in a girl that likes to wear crocs -the ugliest shoe on earth. Hello? she doesnt even have taste in shoes, much less guys. do yourself a favour okay guys? (unless you wear crocs yourself.lol. then yes, save the no taste girls from spinsterhood)

Being surrounded by dysfunctional families or at least one that i will never want to be in got me thinking about the kind of family i'd like to have. ( yeah if i were playing SIMS i'd definately be the one with the family aspiration haha) Well i have not come to a conclusion yet, but family is one of the main reason i choose to be alive today. Infact, i would be very content managing my family my whole life.

Bad choices made by uncles aside, i got something to say about the 'hong bao etiquette' parents subscribe to. If you always thought having more children means more red packets- youre wrong. In actual fact, your parents give how much they'd recieve. e.g, your aunt gives $10 to you and your three siblings each, you mom gives her only child $40. so its equal. I dont know if everyone does this, but i think ITS A BAD PRACTICE. why should you give an only child so much money? HELLO? what is more difficult? raising four kids or one? who needs more expenses? four kids or one?

If you want to give red packets, give them because you know its gonna help them. EMBRACE THE CNY SPIRIT!! not because its 'fair'. Oh please do away with the stingy mentality on CNY. Anw, its your fault you have only one kid(i mean for those who have a choice). have more. the govt will love you.

Sorry to pour cold water over CNY. Its not like i enjoy it a lot anyway. Travelling with an irritating sister, a mother who doesnt know relative's address and even after phone calls still end up in the wrong bus at the other end of singapore isnt the most enjoyable thing on earth.

But still, i loved that i met my dearest cousins! and we played bridge! its so fun!!! lao gou's food was delicous! and i won money gambling. hehe. this might just be my lucky year.

happy chinese new year!

Vday

HAPPY VALENTINES!

Its a happy happy day.
Firstly there were flowers. Love flowers.
There were chocolates! Love chocolates
And many other nice sweet cute stuff!
Thanks everyone!

I gave everyone donuts! Went to raffles city yest to queue for a few hours. IT WAS WORTH IT. becuse the donuts tasts damn good! And also, i helped many other people queue too. haha. its a blessing to be a blessing for others.

School was just filled with lotsa giving and recieving, from friends and those who want to be more than friends. *AWWWW!* teenage love. my classmate nat was battling with courage to give his crush a rose. Its the best event today because this sorta thing is so nerve wrecking and exciting. Even a bystander like me can get drawn into the excitement. But i can surely say that a guy like nat can make it in life. lucky girl

Then there is the more tragic side of Vday. Aaron, my debating friend spent around 70 bucks on stuff to realise that.. the girl didnt come to school today. maybe its a sign. But hearing his woe and sorrow.. poor thing.

The day started with 'free hugs' and very entertaining mini-performance by the drama people. I still am dwelling in the 'funiness' the show left me. hey drama people: make it into a vcd i;ll definately buy and watch it over and over again.

and finally, the stuff i ordered online has arrived and imsohappy!! they're as usual- SO LOVELY!

i Love this Vday.

update

Its been some time since i've blogged. Actually, i am suppose to study for my math test. But i remembered it just a few mins ago. So, i think i'll study it on my way to sch tmr. Well, i think there will be a few school skippers tmr because of the test, but I WANNA GO TO SCHOOL!

Firstly because songim and i are going for morning run. I wont pass up a chance to feel healthy. Secondly because shes buying bk breakfast! Okay, a little contradicting cos fast food isnt exactly healthy, but i guess running more will make up for the later intake of fats. hehe.

For the past few days i've been as usual, doing CIP in the weekends. I must say volunterring for chingay has been the wisest choice i;ve made this year, because this CIP is actually fun. Btw, if you're searching for CIP, try youth bank. org. Its a website that allows youths to sign up for community services.

Last week i went for cross country eventually, and its so worth it! The experience is actually inspiring. Maybe its because my sister whom according to odac's mr lim termed as from" nerd club" (cos her past cca was non-sports) got 11th placing for jc1 girls.. eleventh out of the whole jc1! Its a damn great achievement considering that she came from eldds and girl guides and had zero sports experience. I felt that i could achieve that too if i trained. The run was so enjoyable with hannah(drama one). In a whole, it was a very hope-giving event. Crucial for someone who thinks shes gonna fail her A's.

Also, other things that make life so much more interesting!
- failed birthday surprise for leonard. i mean, how surprising can it get when the past birthdays in the last few weeks were surprise celebrations. A little obvious rite.. but its damn embarassing.. what my class tried to do. haha. but how many ways can you think of surprising your classmate?
- went to bugis street for the first time. shopping haven, but disastrous experience. it was too too crowded.
- learned how to play bridge. ! I consider that an achievement. haha. my marks dont quite qualify.

thinking about my life, i realised i got TONS of things to do. gotta go back to slp! cyall'

- im not a cheapskate!
- should i donate blood should i donate blood should i donate blood should i donate blood ?
- should i go for cross country tmr should i go for cross country tmr should i go for cross country tmr should i go for cross country tmr ?

wasted weekend

what a weekend.

On saturday:
morn: shop with my sister and brother
afternoon: shop with my other sister
evening: shop with my dearest friend jingyi

Bought: one thing.

thats kinda pathatic but i'd say i was saving some money for my mother. haha. i wanted to spend 200 on 3 things. But then.. it was GREAT ! hanging out with jingyi, as usual. We went from heeren to wisma and we maxed out the extended shopping hours haha.

you learn alot from shopping with other people, i learnt to always walk into shops i dont think got good stuff. but they actually do. This time especially, i learn to pick things up and try them because they may look good. I usually never take a second look at such things. we also went to this eatery called "rabbit brand seafood delicacies" haha, one shop i wont step into. BUT ITS DELICIOUS! its very cheena.. they have sharks fin, abalone.. according to jingyi.. its.. " hard to describe". but i can tell you that the chilli is DAMN GOOD.
lucky plaza btw, costs abt 5 bucks.

Sunday:
morning/noon: fundraising, go around collect money. went to queenstown. haha. i like familiarity. we wore "halos" and had wands.. and wings.. its cool. kudos to my leaders who spent a lot of hours doing the props! they're really nice!!!

noon/night: Went around bukit panjang to collect old newspaper and all sorts of old stuff for class CIP. sell them to garang guni and get money. its a damn lucrative business! maybe one day i may go into that. lol. did till 9!!! the blocks were scary.

so. i practically spend my weekend shopping and doing community service. yeah. so, another weekend that i didnt touch my bks. looks like i might have to go poly. haha.

discovery

well.. heard of Uncyclopedia. haha.. wikipedia spoof. my econs teacher showed us. its damn hilarious. Check out their featured article..

You should know that men have to hold handbags sometimes. And it sucks, but it has to happen. And it has to happen because that's the way life is. And no one can help that, but you can learn to hold the handbag like a man. And then, the world will be like an oyster that is yours, but probably not exactly as enjoyable. Maybe a little more enjoyable, maybe a little less; I find it hard to give you a definitive answer. But take my advice, and know that even a world half as enjoyable as an oyster is more enjoyable than a world where everyone thinks you're a flaming homosexual because you can't hold a handbag like a man.

One method is the folded-arms technique: it's cool, it's wicked, it's got all the right stuff. You could probably get away with holding a fricken pink speckled douche with this technique. That's how masculinisating it is. You wouldn't look queer at all, and that's probably the best way to look in these circumstances.

Simply stand with feet flat on the ground, shoulders pulled back, and arms folded, with the handbag tucked underneath your lean, muscular arms. Anyone who looks at you gets a cold, hard, masculine stare RIGHT IN THE BLOODY FACE, and they inevitably back down in feminine cowardice. Because you are the man, and even though you're holding your girlfriend's handbag, you are the man, and you will do whatever it takes to maintain your masculine manliness.

okay enuff of blogging. haha.

lotsa gratitude

" If a girl hates you, it just means she likes you. Its kindergarten psychology"

Anyyways.. i cant stop saying how my then tutor ROCKS!! Hes 3/4 a century old and very very wise.

I attribute a big part of my character to him. Hes this optimistic guy that looks at the world in a different way. Just talking for a few minutes when he comes round to tutor my other siblings makes me want to talk to him more.. because he opens up your mind and inspires.. such that you want to know more. He takes your into the bigger picture.. and puts your plans as a means rather than an end.

"When you have a problem, dont view it as a problem.. but rather a CHALLENGE. Dont be attacking or defensive. Take a step back, assess the 'problem'.. find its root cause then view your options.. and pick the best one."

Sometimes we're so caught up in the little things that we just get so flustered, stressed and depressed. Just view the glass of water half full and many things will be fine:)

thank god for wise guys on earth.

a good movie

I went out with my girlfriends on friday night. yay i got a life.

anyway, besides having a life i feel so cultured as well. We went to watch' the painted veil'. never heard of it right? even if you do.. sounds boring right? haha. see.. i watched something never quite herd of that sounds boring. and THAT makes me feel so cultured. hahaha.

COS I ENJOYED IT A LOT. i feel like a person who just went to the museum and finally understood what the painting meant.

BUT.. its not that chim la. its actually a love story that is extremely well told. " a turbulent romatic love story set in the 1920s" And.. its nc16 man! i havent watched a nc 16 show since i've turned 16. haha. yeah.. thats an achievement.

Well, its about the relationship of two people. the story has a beginning, middle and end.. and i like that kinda movie. oh its sucha beautiful show. I admire the male lead, who tackled his wife's adultery with tact. I like how after the ordeal they start to really know each other. you can see the change in both the couple's love for each other. from strangers to newly weds to married life to adultery to after-adultery and the process of recovering from it and falling in love again- this time for real.

It is set in london and china. yup china, how original right? see thats how the show is different from just any other love story.

oh i love my friday.

check out the trailer..

A La Claire Fontaine from the movie. if you intend to watch the movie.. u shouldnt spoil it by watching it. but its damn nice.

life in short

Extract from my dearest cousin Amanda's blog. I feel the same way too. just that we have slightly different activities. read more at www.thegreensuede.blogspot.com

I feel that I have becomed a maid to my school life , and the studying side of me .
My mam (school activities ) everyday give me alot of work , such as , counting the forks and spoon ( maths ), cooking ( science), and now she also want me to improve my engrish ( english ), she makes me read story book ( lit ) about bad crazy people who blame innocent people ,( to kill a mocking bird ) . All because she dont want me to blame her if anything happen to me ).
AIYA

I only eat my lunch twice and only get 45mins break , the food taste like , leftovers . Sometimes, the giver of the counting of food let me go off late , and like today , i only get 15 mins , why ?????? The fitness lady give talk , but i is no need to be there. AIYA once again .

My off day is only thursday , sat and sunday . But now sat , sunday one got sweeping floor ( ballet ) and the other need to learn how to count spoons better ( amaths tuition ). cause the spoon lady nono listen to you . she thinks just because my mather was maid , father was male maid ( to the school ), sister also still maid , friends also maidd , I should be the BEST BEST maid , know how to count spoons , but noooooo.

Today , I climb out of my backyard to meet my boyfriend ( the computer )( this incident is referring to my real ex-maid , ask me abt it , and i shall tell you ).

One day after maiding is over , i become super maid , i will become a taitai ( earn money and marry myself ).
I AMINACOLLEENCHISUHUI( long filipino /indonesian names ) WILL ABOLISH , hehe , me maid also no CHIM WORD. The horrible maid treating system ( the bloody supposed good hardworking singapore education system ).

astalabista baby , i can only run out to meet my boyfriend , maybe manymany years later !

monday oh monday

its too peaceful. hahaha. i was looking forward to a war of words. Its been some time since i debated and i relish the act of tearing up an argument into tiny bits! this time especially cos i got LOTS TO SAY. haha. looks like i'll have to leave it till i get provoked again.

Anyway, today something made my day: I WAS AT THE LIBRARY and guess what.. while borrowing something there were 2 j1 guys beside and this was what they said" auntie why you cannot lend a stapler one.. " LOL... hahahahaha. looks like she hasnt been enlightened yet. nevermind.. we will pray for her.

well, nothing significant today, just that after i mugged for only 1 and a half hour i gave up and went out to starbucks with my dearest friend songim to CHILL OUT.

aaand.. that was how i got through monday:)

oh and this song ROCKS! hillsongs rock.

dont grasp the hot coal

"Much unhappiness results from our inablility to remember the nice things that happen to us" -W.N.Rieger

So hello dear friend whos been holding a grudge against me for eternity. I dont know what i did to you. I certainly did not steal your bf, nor did i attempt to deliberately cause harm. And come on.. you are making me the cause of your bitterness, are actually giving me that much power over you?

The fact that you have wasted so much time over nothing, please do then learn something, because whatever you do, i WILL still lead my enjoyable life.

Perhaps take the lesson of forgive and forget, because then you are able to MOVE ON and live in the present. You cant live in the present if you mind is dwelling in the past. So.. do yourself a favour and grow up.

I leave you with this..
"holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing at someone else; you are the one getting burned"- S.Gautama

stunned

Today SOMETHING VERY WEIRD THAT LEFT ME STILL VERY PUZZULED HAPPENED. nonetheless, to be so worthy of mention in my blog meant that IT IRKED ME ALOT.

I went to the library to copy some stuff and wanted to file them, but i got no 'hole puncher'. So i thought why not borrow it from someone? The librarian came to my mind bcos somehow i visit the library everyday to either print stuff or borrow books, hence i interact with the librarian a lot thus i thought i had some sort of a friendship with her(like instead of a total stranger), so i approached her at her desk...

me: hi can i borrow your hole puncher? *smiles*
L: (hesitates) why do you want to borrow from me? *thinks*
me: err... ( thinks to self.. cos you'd probably have it?duh)
L: *smiles* sorry girl, i cant lend it to you.. IF I LEND THE HOLE PUNCHER TO YOU, THEN I WILL HAVE TO LEND IT TO EVERYONE ELSE TOO. sorry, no.

RIGHT.... i was stunned. seriously stunned. am i asking for a huge favour? do u really need to sacrifice a lot to let me puch some holes?

what she said sounds very familiar as its used as a reason when someone wants to bend the rules. e.g. "can let us use the talking room for a while longer?"" no.. if i let you then i will have to let everybody". This case is understandable cos its a BLOODY RULE.

BUT..i just want to borrow a hole puncher!! that is not some rule! its as trivial as borrowing a pen. know.. like.. " here.. take it." then you return it asap.

OMG.. i think the aircon in the library is so cold that it has frozen her brain.

ITS RIDICULOUS!!!! seriously.. shes trying too hard to be righteous. urgh. ITS SO silly and stupid!!! ah i cant stand it!! why is the school paying such an anal libraian???

Im sorry madm, if you were drowning in the pool and asks me to save you, its a catagorical NO. COS IF I WERE TO SAVE YOU, I'LL HAVE TO SAVE EVERYBODY ELSE TOO.

my weekend

What a weekend!

Saturday
Having sleptover at songim's place, we woke up late having to cab to Serangoon JC for CIP. Yeah, we're taking part in Chingay. (I need some hours!)

Right after that we cabbed to town again, this time with Roy ( we're using him and he's using us so its win-win haha) So i set up the stall at the Lime flea market. Anyway, i have never dreamt of ever taking part in a flea market. Its just that i want to get rid of some of my lip smackers and sell some old stuff.

So i rushed to rent tables and chairs ( cos we're so late, got CIP to do), and the other people sharing the tent with us wasnt really nice. And just a sideline.. THEIR STUFF SUCKS. nice handiwork but TERRIBLE COLOUR COMBINATION. ( they sold beaded bags and pouches) So it was like.. rush to get there before the renting people leave, rush to find out place, set up the place, wait for the stuff to be brought down ( thank god for a friend that lives in town!!), rush to layout our stuff....

Then we had our dearest friends visit us! how nice!! Then out parents came.. haha.. its like a show you know.. u show ur parents that you are capable of earning something. well, it worked for songim cos her parents didnt say a word abt the debit card statement that arrived the same day. I met some very very old primary school friends who are now in rj. ( it feels good having someone know you and u dont rmb knowing them . haha) IT was VERY INTERESTING!

I realised that i cant bargain. Or at least i do not enjoy it. SERIOUSLY. this irritating caucasion woman who just got so scarcastic and INSULTING when i didnt wanna charge her 50 cents less. 50 cents makes a big difference okay! If she doesnt wanna pay, i also dont wanna sell it to her. =p

Time just flew and when it ended, i went back to her hse and had a great time celebrating! ( cos what we earned exceeded expectations!)

It was awesome being at her place.. for dinner we had deeeelicious korean food! And we just chilled out. It was the only time the whole day we can actually sit down and relax.

HMMM what a long entry. well. To cut the story short, i ended up sleeping once i got home and spent the whole sunday sleeping and watching tv and going to church. which also means that i didnt touch my books...

well.. my weekend definately wasnt dull at all!

second week of school

" COS I HAPPEN TO HAVE A BRAIN?"
- hannah

hahaha. That was the answer to why we dont click with some people in class.

Anyways, the second week of school is almost coming to an end.. BOO HOO HOO. im a week closer to CA, mid years... ...

Okay, what i REALLY WANNA SAY is that.. my mom is FINALLY BACK FROM MALAYSIA. hahaha. yup, for once its not indo.. SHE.. of all the time in the year, decided to go to genting this week. yup. With my grandparents and other relatives ( btw i think my grandparents are so cute. hahaha esp my grandfather. so old and so fit. haiz, and they came all the way from indo to go to malaysia)

YEAH, so for the past few days, i've been incharge and for once, IT WASNT NICE AT ALL. i had to do the laundry ( which i didnt quite do cos i ended up sleeping while waiting for the clothes to be washed), making sure the door is locked, relying on my sister to wake me up every morning.. among many other things. I HAD TO IRON MY CLOTHES TOO. I ONLY DO THAT WHEN IM BORED. its tiring.

Imagine having to do CHORES after coming home from cj's MASS PE. omg. MASS PE. i ran like nobody's business. in total it was 18 rounds around the track in 2 consecutive days. + other assorted torturous exercises. THANK GOD i had netball in the hols. if not i'll be paralysed waist down..

aaaanyways. incase ur wondering.. im no closet mugger. i only study in sch. when i get home, incase u havent realised.. i sleep. hahaha.

going to sleep now. =)

I HATE SHORT FAT AND IRRITATING PEOPLE

Recently, i have started having ISSUES. yup. going to school gets you provoked easily because all you are asking for is a friendly and condusive environment to study in. and yet, more often than not, you are faced with the opposite.

Anyway, today i have a problem with a kind of people. Call me a discriminator or whatever but i HATE SHORT, FAT and IRRITATING people!!! so how did i come to realise that? my sister was complaining to me abt these kind of people in her new class and made me realise too that i cannot stand such kind of beings!!!!

Firstly, the fact that you're already vertically challenged means that you'll have shortcomings in ur life. its easier to imagine a tall leader than a short one. So in order to make up for that genetic disadavntage you should become at least a pleasant person.. know.. like nice? so that you dont make people dislike you further. Unfortunately some choose to be lians, proud, distant and just a pain in the butt!

Fat is just me being mean but i wouldnt have had the idea if the short and irritating people HAPPENED to be fat too.

I wished these kind of people were to be vanished from my sight. They're a complete nuisance!! and its very annoying!!!

So please, if you're short i hope you'll be a pleasant member of society. Its nice having enjoyable people around. Dont make your situation worse by being a complete arse.

emophobe

I think the world needs more love.

yes that'd be my answer to " what do you think the world needs".. if i was taking part in miss universe. haha.

BUT SERIOUSLY...
There are too many emo people around. And I HATE EMO PEOPLE. QUIT BEING SAD!!! its pathatic. its too weak. its a waste of time. You can be sad for a little awhile but not to an extent that you lable yourself a permanently sad person. STOP BEING AN ATTENTION SEEKER.

imean.. why let people know " I AM SAD COME SYMPHATHISE ME. PITY ME." What is this man? The new youth culture? Is sad the new cool?

oh pleaaaaase.

these people just need more love. pronto. they have to rid their insecurity. insecurity caused by rejected love, or they think that something is wrong with them.. thus feel like they're fated to be unlucky and UNLOVED. so if you show them some loooove, they wont doubt themselves anymore because someone accepts them the way they are. Acceptance makes people happy..they can see happiness! LOVE begets happiness. which, ELIMINATES EMO PEOPLE.

yes and people need to be rescued from emoland. do your part and show some loooove. make the world a happier place !

i declare myself an emophobe. declare yourself an emophobe too!

new year

Happy 2007!!!

To start off a new year, we conclude the past. Lets take a look at what made 2006 the best year so far.. !

1. Flew back on a plane from china all by myself. Very Very Scary. Rushing to get into school and having the most memorable entry into an institution.

2.JC experience - interesting. first time in 10 yrs in a co-ed sch. though jc sucks!! it still counts as an experience. a great learning experience.

3. Got into the most exciting CCA in my life- flying. Although it has run its course.. i still wont forget the happiness it has brought me: From the start at the joy ride to the acceptance for interview and the course itself.. and the amazing times in the sky..

4. started earning some pocket money and gained a lot knowledge from being my own boss =)

5. got promoted! yay. oh like it was hard?

6. Went to bali! fun fun fun. love the shopping and the scenery.

7. Had a great holiday + picked up a sport i still couldnt figure out why i didnt discover earlier : netball!

8. Not forgetting my dearest siblings for irritating me and yet still add a lot of spice to my life. (imagine fighting over the com constantly and hiding each other's stuff, imagine going to bed to realise your pillow is gone. poor me)

9. and my deeearest friends! my dear old friends. We dont talk as often now but i'll still keep u in contact!

10. last but not least my dearest cousinss!!! What can i say? you're of great help, forever so nice! and a great company. im so glad u and i are born in the same family.

HAPPY 2007 EVERYONE!

revelry

I'd better put my days to writing before i forget them- not that they're forgettable, but so many all at once can prove to be quite confusing.

friday. Netball!!! I RAN 2.6 KM! its quite an achievement considering the fact that its The Holidays! Nobody really exercises during the holidays! haha. Also an improvement in my ball throwingg... yayyy.

AFterthat i went home and went out again to bugis to meet tushar, crenshaw and my sister to eat sushi. It was fun. AFterwhich we tried to go to a bar- timbre. hehe. which we did manage to get a table which later joined by jerilyn and adeline and sriram. The music was very very entertaining, the night was just nice, it a great chill out. Well the bottom line is that we got to order alcoholic stuff and drink margaritas. hahaha. the thrill of doing something we cant.

The next day i spent the entire afternoon at hannah's place for netball christmas party. We started to prepare the food at 10, ate at 1.. and we just kept eating till 4+ ( the time i left) and who knows when they stopped. cant believe I ATE THE WHOLE DAY. But it was AWESOME!!! steamboat with sports people is expected to be healthy which it was.. but then came the fondue! thats why you should never see how chefs prepare your meal. You see.. in order to make the chocolate flow in the chocolate fountain you not only melt the chocolate, you ADD OIL too. wah so fattening. hahaha.. but its the holidays~ And there were so many presents.. !!!

Afterthat, i went to meet my dearest cousins at vivo to watch "THE HOLIDAY". OH HOW delighted i was to see them and the stuff they got from US. YAY. My loop bag rocks. haha its so special, it has handcuffs..that works.. lol. And the movie was SO GOOD. It makes you laugh and cry and cry and laugh. Its a nice story.

now i gotta decide what to do on new yer's eve..

the present

Figured out what the present is yet?

Its actually.. THE PRESENT. literally. Know...NOW. It basically means, to live in the moment! Enjoy exactly what you are doing NOW. Savour the moment!! If you're eating an icecream.. EAT THE ICE CREAM. THINK ABOUT THE ICE CREAM.. NOT your homework or what to do next. You'll enjoy life much much more. That was also how you enjoyed your younger days.. remember? yyyeeaa....

sometimes you still cant really enjoy the moment even if you try. The trick is to DO THE RIGHT THING. you're suppose to be doing hw and yet you go clubbing, and you try to enjoy clubbling.. you cant cos its not right. When you do the right thing wholeheartedly.. you can then enjoy the moment.

Of cos .. then how do you decide what is the right thing? HERE.. you'll have to have a PURPOSE. if your purpose in life is to get wasted. Yes, by all means go party. So you decide what to do by your purpose then DO IT! DO IT

TADA! now. dont ask me how to get a purpose. you find that yourself. or. ask God alright? It works. Okay im stopping here. Im not gonna answer how to ask God.

Alright then, Happiness everyone =)

im gonna watch the devil wears prada now. and that only ;)

my merry inspiring christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The past few days were just spent being at Parties, went for a Musical which was GOOD. ( you should go if u can, its free, very professional, performed by a church, at scgs, just walk in. today last day), met up with my dear friend KiKi! And having lunch at The republic of singapore's yatch club.. The View was AMAZING.... You never knew singapore had sucha great location...

Oh wells, Im so imspired to 'expand' my little business. I could do sooooo sooooo much more. There really is a BIG market out there. A step at a time, i guess. I could really do with a business person. Theres research to do, and so many more ways i could explore to MAKE MORE MONEYYY...

Anyways! in light of this occasion i'd like to talk about a book called The Present. ( yup it was a gift that i finally got down to reading it) This 'present' the book is talking about is a gift that would make you happier. You actually have the gift, just that you have forgotten. You had it when you were younger too.

I'll continue tmr. If you're bored just get the book, it could really makes a difference to your life. =)

short update

okay i'll try to keep this short. got lotsa stuff to work on.. like dinner today (yay im making again), my little business ( now im trying out ebay cos with my debit card i can do wonders), and some math ( i totally forgotten my basics oh no!).

GOOD NEWS>> you know every year the govt gives cash to students through awards? My dearest sister got Eagles award. Got to say i was real proud and yet a little envious. People get bursary awards.. generally. Sometimes scholarship awards like my little sister, surprisingly. Anyways.. the thing is.. a week later i found out i got good progress award! hahaha. Its soooooooo SURPRISING!! Remember i blogged about how pathatic my marks are? i even felt like being in the doldrums cos every single grade was the same except econs and gp which i improved and deproved respectively. HAHAHA so it makes me think these awards are really a joke. seriously.. if i can get it im sure my entire class did too. hahaha.. the govt has too much money....

LASTLY, today my lil sis got her posting results! and.. she got into my school! YAY i can pass my uniform to her! YAY. as always. Anyways.. it turns out her entire EM3 class got into the same school- my school. The whole of RGPS's EM3 got into STC. my first reaction.. " IT MUST BE YOUR FAULT (my sister), YOU ADVERTISE MY SCHOOL ISSIT? NOW YOU HAVE DUMPED ALL YOUR EM3 FRIENDS INTO MY SCHOOL!"

oh wells. read about it at her blog =)

My money making machine

Sadly, i dont know how to use it. OOOH how tragic. And i thought i could get my mother to teach me. She handed me a book to read. Its like studying another subject. How can you study how to use the sewing machine? Its all practical work. You learn by doing. you cant study how to use a machine!!!

I could do with some perseverance.

Well i did get down to reading it, it was quite a thin book. And... its not very easy. Didnt know soooooo much detail and work goes into sewing two pieces of cloth together. Like there are different needles for different threads for different cloths for different types of seam, etc etc etc....

Sewing looks deceptively easy.

I think i'll go read my lecture notes and do some math instead..

friday the great

Today was AWESOME!!!!!!

(alright i wasted the whole morning)

But I had a fantastic netball training in the afternoon. It feels so good burning up all the fats from my holiday. ( yup my diet was on vacation too) Not only that i learned a lot of skills!! maybe cos exercise gives you happy endorphins.

Then my dearest captain who is studying psychology got me so interested in that subject!!! psychology is so interesting!! I think i might wanna take that up...it feels good discovering a new passion =)

Afterwards as i got home, for once in my life i recieved soooo many letters. hahaha. Sry but that to me feels good. Its like a childhood dream to recieve many letters, its so grown up. hahaha. anyways, yes i got many letters! Oh and a package too from my online purchase. soooo good to recieve stuff u bought!!

I got a letter from flying club explaining why i wasnt able to fly, which is the exact reason i guessed. That gave me closure.. It was one of the best letters i have ever read! It made me feel better. Alot better, because it confirms that it wasnt my lack of skills but the weather's. =) And i recieved my debit card!!! its the best looking card i ever owned. hahaha.

All these good things happening one after another.. how could my day not be awesome????????

heres some pics...

(oops my time is up, you know coming back to the reality of fighting for computer does continue and it still sucks to be pestered to leave so i;ll put them up sometime later, and yeah putting up pics on diaryland is work)

baack =)

IM BACK!

YAY! i love singapore!!!! It feels damn good to be home. Today at changi immigration, there was this sign next to 'Singapore Passports' that said "Welcome Home". It felt sooo good. HOME..

Well that is not to say that my trip to BALI wasnt good.. it was greeat! ( of cos not good enough to want me to stay there haha)

There are goods and bads of course. But what can you expect of an indonesian country?? haha. Well for starters the air wasnt very nice, okay beach but can be more pleasant without the constant irritants from people trying to sell tattoos and accessories and hair braiding. I had two very very very revolting encounters.. eeeeeks!!!

But i love the currents in the sea!!! It was strong and it made all the other beaches i've been to really pathatic. Of course i did surfing!!! it was a very interesting experience!!! My body is currently very sore by from the tormenting waves.hahaha

The shopping was aaawesome!!! I got to bargain ALOT. And i bought so many nice stuff for under $100. OH i was quite delighted too the fact that when you go indo, you become a millionaire. hahaha.. i totally dont see the point of making so many zeros behind the numbers anyway.

The place is like hollandV, just that it has a sea extremely near by. The people were absolutely friendly and SINGAPORE AIRLINES rock!!!! omg, i would just buy a ticket toa faraway place just to have enough hours on the plane to enjoy all its inflight entertainment. haha. Food rocks toooo!!!

i'll put up some pics..... when i feel like it ;)

holidayyyy

OMG im leaving in a few hours time!!

BUT THEN>>> theres a few little things thats scaring me to bits!! and its all caused by my very concerned sister.

I told her of all the wonderful things i wanna do there like going for the volcano tour.. etc. TODAY she shot them all down. SERIOUSLY. She went to those websites where people review those tours.. and they were all not so good. like, they bring you to the volcano which is nice then tells you where lunch is which gives you stomach problems.

Then, she asked if i knew what sign to look out for when we reach. I happen to have lost the paper. OOPS. but still!! all you did was to inject fear into me. Thank god i went to church today man. RELAX>>>> i'll get it tmr morning before we fly off. She said" when you reach there there will be alot of people. if you approach the ones bearing the hotel name these people will pester you your whole trip", because i told her i'll remember it when i see it. urgh. some people dont know how to help.

she totally gave the impression like theres more to fear than enjoy. some kind of sister!!!!!!

Anyways, i feel like a kid who wants to bring something along (e.g.teddybear) but the mother doesnt allow. In my case, i want to bring my precious potted plant along!!!! boohoohoo but its so stupid to bring your plant. hahaha. of cos my mom said no. but how can i leave my beloved lemon basil plant at home to dehydrate to death? I havent even used its leaves for anything yet...

it really sucks to be so incharge of your holiday. I really appreaciate all the other times when i didnt have to think, prepare and be soo cautious.

oh wells besides that.. Cant wait be by the beach everyday!!!! yay!!!!

Every once in a while.. i sometimes get thrown into this tornado- Where all you see in your life is destruction, a piece of shit.

I wonder, what the hell am i doing in JC? I hate school!!! I suddenly dont know what i want in the future. Basically, i lose all my goals.. and ambitions. Im not so sure anymore.

Looks like i need some soul searching again. hahaha.

Anyway, take a look at this: ripped off from my friend's blog a loooooong time ago. thought its sucha refreshing advert.

never ever judge a book by its cover

In a nutshell. debate was okay. had a good time after debates. Then watched the 4 nations netball match with stc alumni at toapayoh.. which wasss fun.REALLY FUN!

First of all, i'd like to re-iterate how much i like to be in the company of girls. I guess 10 years of all-girl education had an effect on me=)

Anyway, the team from papua new guinea(png) impressed me loads!! At first glance they didnt look like they would win against the canandians. simply because they did not fit into the stereotype of the tall and slim netballers. They came in all shapes and sizes and i really really mean it. Overall, png looked much more ..meaty. you'd be fooled to think that they were so poor they just any-o-how grabbed whoever they can find. However, they played so damn well!!!! it was so clear that they were controlling the game. The ball flew from one player to another and the netballers seemed like they were dancing around with it. of cos png won.

What i really mean is.. they totally changed my perception of sports. You dont have to be thin to look like a sports person. Skill is all that matters. png rocks my socks man!!! they just showed that being tall and skinny was lousy for netball.. hello they trashed the canadians whose slim-ness made them look weak?

So at the end of the day i went home with the knowledge that looks is definately very decieving. It helps to make an impression at first, but after that, its what inside that ultimately counts.

new experience

MY VERY FIRST NETBALL MATCH!

It went well. very exciting i must say. haha. infact.. its VERY VERY EXCITING!!!

I got so much to improve on. feel like im being too nice.. feel bad for blocking my opponent's way.. fighting for the ball.. etc. I need to practice jumping higher too.OH wells....

Today im gonna announce MY DREAMMM! not like i dont have any.. this is just another one. I WANNA STUDY IN THE US!! OR AUSTRALIA!! OR CANADA!! anywhere but singapore.. I think life there will be soo much more thrilling.. and interesting. I cant stand being stuck here in this tiny dot for so long!! I so need a plan. if you have an idea how i can achieve that.. PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME.

( other ways than totally relying on my parents who arent very rich)

im dreading tomorrow.. and the day after.. and the day after after.. till the day school starts.. i hate school...

another normal day

i apologise for the lack of pics. My sis took them to aussieland. but now that she's back with lots of goodies including the camera i can take pics again!! yay

Anyway, today my mushroom soup was so bland it tasted BAD. boo hoo hoo. And i dont know how to make it taste better. boo hoo hoo. I think i wanna start to make cupcakes. they look so cute, although not so healthy but.. i can exercise a little more!! yeah.

Did u read the papers? Theres an article about killer litter. Well i recieved one of those letters of warning. hahaha. I have potted plants where its not suppose to be. BUT THEN!! its addressed to another person. Its the right house with another person;s name. SERIOUSLy, the town council just couldnt be bothered to write the proper name, why should i bother read the letter, much less heed their warning. Somehow,I feel so.. pissed. they're acting so rightous and yet they cant show simple respect by addressing the people correctly. Wait till im old enough to vote. hmph.

Well my sis has gone to sleep straight after she got home and i havent seen all the good stuff yet!! ( well i peeked into her bag even though she wouldnt allow so i saw some stuff) cant wait till she wakes up!!

Cooking success

I feel so accomplished.

Today i made dinner: lemon and dill salmon. Do you know steamed food tates REAAALLY good? Its much fresher. All the herbs (yeah so english right? HERBS. haha ) that i added really felt sooooo Healthy. And... Its so easy to make!!!! The recipe book's picture looked too good to be made by an amateur like myself. But.. its so BLOODY EASY. I think i can start a cooking school someday.

Anyways, before that i poped by the library to get novels to pass my time and then off to holland V to shop for ingredients.

I could live like this everyday.

another perfect day

I never had a whole day of shopping and dining in a loooong while! hence, it has made it to my list of perfect days!!!

In the afternoon right after i woke up( haha yeah.. afternoon. but its the holidays~~!) i went to meet my dearest friend jacqueline, my then best friend. Know, there are just some people whom you just get damn well along with and no matter how long you dont communicate, your friendship is forever the same.

yes, it was one of the best shopping i have done in ages! although i dont have much money, i just couldnt not buy stuff with her. It just seem that there were so many nice things to buy! well, not that my purchases were smart ( e.g. damn cheap and worth it/ damn fashionable, etc) but when you feel like you need it, it means you need it. you never know...

Then in the evening i met my dearest friend jingyi!! who btw is real slim now and would be quite a good catch.. too bad guys shes unavailable.*jingyi you know what i mean hehehe* Anyways, i love thai express!!! I just eat the same thing every single time and i still LOVe it to bits. oh yes.. her shoe spoilt and THANK GOD i bought a pair on impulse earlier so i can be of help later. SEE.. buy with your heart not your head. God probably saw that something like that will happen and just got you to buy something that you didnt think was really of use at that time but turned out to be real helpful. Dont need to worry too much about money because god will provide!!!

alright.. then we had nydc!!!! hehehe. desert is totally a sin now considering im on " healthy eating" a.k.a. dieting. but... i just cant turn down yummy elmer fudge with vanilla icecream and ny cheesecake with mango icecream!! or anything on the menu!! anyways.. it just rocks la. the entire time.

So thanks jingyi i loved your company.. and jacq too!

now heres what i;ve discovered to be the ultimate guide to weightloss.
THE Yang Yan's Diet.
acknowledgements: Jingyi- a living example and inspired a few points, and everyone else in my life that is thin. your similar habits are what i propose to be traits of thinness.

1. Overeating is caused by stress and boredom. So preempting that situation, you MUST eat breakfast. anything wholemeal and protein ( keeps you full). Nothing sugery and refined.

2. Eat SLOWLY. for example rice, " eat so slow as if you are eating grain by grain." chew and chew and chew.

3. Drink and Drink and Drink lots and lots of plain water. Keep drinking!!!!
Its damn important. Besides, people who have good skin are chronic drinkers.

4. eat little rice. a gauge- half a bowl.

5.never finish your food. Unless its really nice/ you're really hungry/ it costs a bomb/ its strawberries and chocolate!

6. eat often. Snacks are not prohibited. just healthy ones. It keeps your metabolism rate up.

7. DO YOGA!!!!! its so easy, yet it works wonders!!!!!

thats all for now, and i tell you.. IT WORKS!! ask any thin person and you find that they naturally follow the steps.

R&R

I love these days man..

Its raining like crazy and I LOVE IT. hahaha.. ( i wasnt suppose to like rain for this year cos it means you cant fly) but since its OVER... I can enjoy rain again! LOVE IT!!!

So, What have i been up to?

Doing homework! yes.. im planning to study slowly. my lit teacher used to give this advice " be proactive, not reactive". It simply means you just keep working.. dont leave things to the last minute then you panic.. a.k.a. being reactive. Oh wells.. i gotta little aim.! WHEEE.. its gonna knock your socks off. =p

I've had netball crashcourse too. THANKS HANNAH!!! its just really really nice of you to teach a noob like me. haha. I finally realised how to throw the balls HARD!! etcetcetc.. this GK's getting better... =)

I also read. Made it a point to read newspapers. oh for the sake of GP.. although it looks like it isnt really of much help.. i just feel more secure knowing i have a little more general knowledge. and in the process.. u'll just find your way to make it useful. Just finished reading" tilt a whirl by chris grabenstein" its a nice mystery novel!!!

I COOK. YES! i attempted. I did rice. first time turned out to be.. rice porrige ( in the middle).. then i tried the old fashioned way of using the pot, which was.. edible in my terms. okay, i cant cook rice well. but i will.. EVENTUALLY! But i did the salmon fish and vege well!!! *beams* Im attempting to make more savoury stuff.. mmmm. And, i roped in song im to teach me korean dishes! yay! i love korean food. So.. me learning to cook.. its in good progress!

alright this holiday's been good. sorry if you've been bored to death.. you just gotta find things to do know.. ;)

This song "Voice Within" has an Amazing message...

"
When there's no one else
Look inside yourself
Like your oldest friend
Just trust the voice within
Then you'll find the strength
That will guide your way
If you will learn to begin
To trust the voice within

Yeah...
Life is a journey
It can take you anywhere you choose to go
As long as you're learning
You'll find all you'll ever need to know

You'll make it
You'll make it "

PACKING SEASON

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

YES! i've done it! I'm finally free from my evil books! YES! i feel so accomplished!

I got order back in my room. THANK GOD. It was hard, i had to battle with procrastination, make hard decisions at deciding which things to throw and which to keep ( real hard for a sentimental person), and solving the problem of where to put what.

Its finally OVER. YES~!!

okay this is kinda random but i just wanna say it- I THREW OUT ALL MY SEC 1-4 STUFF. YES! I DID IT.( but i saved some for amanda to choose, stuff i thought was too useful to throw). I like the idea of saving all my work done when i was younger cos i thought it'll be fun to look back at my handwritting, my ideas and stupidity etc.But.. nah. too much baggage for my precious space. hehe.ANyways.........

Look-
Before

AFTER!

clean uh? If you dont think so, you must be looking at my sis's side of the room ;)

It turns out, decluttering your space helps to clear your mind too. I think all these free and idle time spent wasnt a waste at all, although it may seem so. I've had the opportunity of taking a step back and gained new perspectives.

Its so true: Life will always give you opportunities to learn things the hard way, and you cant always live life exactly the way you want..

( the above really helped me make sense and come to consensus at all the troubles i had.)

Thus in the grand scheme of things, nothing really matters anyway! so lets take it eeeeasy =)

-peace-

PACK

I've been packing my room for many days now. Its very tiring, cos being quite a perfectionist i tend to need to organise every inch of space. i need to make sure everything is organised!!! I'll paste the pics of before and after pics of my room sooon. hehehe. I am so gonna paint my wall BLUE. (yes wei its a DARK COLOUR i know you hate it but i Dont Care)!! muahahahahaha... i'll start work after you fly to aussieland =p

when one door closes, another opens

i have been a little sad over the past few days, and i am still quite am. Although i dont really.. show it. Its that sad feeling you dont really want people to know.

No big deal, but its not such a good feeling letting people down after all the high hopes.. Im quite sure that i've been dropped from my flying course. Although i have not been told, i just know it. You know it when you havent been flying for weeks. And when the next batch catches up to your level. You sense progress.. and that means people have been dropped to accomodate the new ones.

As usual people in such situations blame everything but themselves. I am those people. Its the bloody haze!!!! That has caused me to be unable to progress. But everyone then says.. so will the rest be affected. YES they are, but they are not in the same situation as me. Others have progressed far, far before the haze so they are safe. Those new ones cant start so they are unaffected. I however lie in the middle, at the most vulnerable spot.

maybe its because of me, but they cant drop people off this early because of lack of talent. It usually happens later. At this stage, its due to progress. If you're too slow its over. And i happen to be too slow. (bloody haze!!!) Its kinda unfair..i mean, its the weather!! and I cant control that!! i feel like going all the way there to complain.. but whats the point right? beg them to let me continue? But i understand their position. They have to keep moving.. they have to keep the momentum so that the batches after can start their courses, so that others will not be held up, so that more people can try out and have their chance. Its like a relationship.. you gotta move on. you like to fly but that doesnt mean you get to. So now you try to do other things to fill your mind up and convince yourself that you're meant for greater things. And also remember the story of the student who got dropped but came back as an instructor. If youre meant for it, you're meant for it.

SOOOO HERES THE GOOD NEWS>>>>
I've joined something else!!! yay!!!

Hannah invited me to netball training today. YAY! with the STC netball alumni. Okay, i dont play netball. Infact, im not quite a sports person. But better late than never! It was fun hanging out with girls. YES, enough of flying with aloof guys. I am sick of interacting with you people cos its sooooo tiring. It feels really good to belong to a group of people. More meaningful now that you get more than just people to hang out and have fun with, you get to train too. Hurrah to a healthier me.

Anyways, Shermain invited me to join their team, although i cant see myself of much use since i dont know much about netball.. but with commitment and the willingness to learn.. I WILL MAKE IT!!! Once again im making my height as an advantage. SEE.. when you cant use it for one thing(flyin), you can still do for another(netball);)

So hence my title: when one door closes, another opens.

Yay netball's fun. Gotta get myself fitter now so i can throw that ball harder!! Oh and going back to school today was GREAT. I love my secondary school.. i love the building.. the grass ( memories of ndp), and THE uniform. It never looked so cool. I feel real proud to belong to IJ, Theresians!! woots!!

alrighty.. time will heal..

update

Its been a long time since i've blogged. yes.. this is counted as a long time for me. Anyways, what have i been up to?

Well right after my oral presentation i went to songim's place for a sleepover!! yay hannah was around too. It was interesting, i thought we'd be doing crazy fun stuff but we started doing a jigsaw puzzle. haha.. yes. Apparently her maid knocked down her lovely jigsaw portrait from the wall. It is actually quite fun. Anyways, i ended up spending the whole of next day with her and after all that playing and doing whatever we want, it has gotten me into a holiday mood!!!

After that i went to church during the weekends, which took my whole weekend, or otherwise i wasnt doing anything memorable.

THEN>>> for the whole of this week i was playing The Sims. OMG. yes.. i thought i had gotten over the game. apparently not when my brother suddenly told me " the computer can run faster now so you can play sims" he graciously deleted his warcraft so there is more space for sims.. out of boredom i did play. SO MUCH THAT THE OLD COMPUTER CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE SO IT KEEPS CRASHING. The fact that i can use it now is due to a long long time that it has been 'resting'.. so im treating this piece of metal very much like some fragile glass.

Suddenly everyone is forced to do anything else but fight over the computer( which has been happening the last few days cos evryone is addicted to sims too) Oh i HATE fighting over the computer. its so childish!! like 'choping' after one another. And it gets horribly long before you get your turn. Anyways, that is over so today i actually did some reading.. so did my brother, but the game manual for diablo.Seriously! when hes not playing the computer or the xbox he reads game manuals? thats so pathatic!! His excuse, " i need to read something interesting before i read dull books." and then i defend books by saying he has to find the right kind.. blablabla, then he lifs up the dull book he was referring to, "guide to computing". hahahaha.. a book given by my uncle, because he subconciously became 'incharge' of the computer.

Alright. so now i cant play sims, i dont feel like organising my room (its seriously a mess), i have no money to buy the shelves i need for my stuff and a new chair cos my old one sucks.. I have been dreaming of winning 4D the whole day too- when im not reading. Im thinking of numbers, wondering if a combination i have in mind would buy me all i want. (just to let you know the first thing i'd buy is computers for everyone) Oh wells.. and many more dreadful things on my mind. The best thing i can rant about is some hot sounding guy that called me up at 11+ pm offering me a job interview. YES! finally. thanks for replying to my job application!!! I hope it goes well tomorrow.. but i have doubts. Its a music place and i dont really know music. argh. how i wished i took music more seriously. Its like you never know what everyday things can someday be so crucial in earning some extra bucks, and getting ahead in the job world.

okay enough of my boring life. im looking forward to meeting my interviewer =)
